Description
30x40cm canvas print of Raine Kapp’s original acrylic painting.
“This painting talks about the micro and macro cosmos. The universe within us, reflecting the world around us. It all begins and ends on the edge of the pupil, it’s like the edge of of a universe, a portal to another world.
The human pupil is like a black hole in space. Information passes through the pupil to our brains and forms the world we see. It is the connection between two worlds. Have you ever thought about how similar our world is to our body? Trees look like lungs, fungal mycelium like the nervous system, the birth of a cell looks like an exploding star and so on. Within us is a whole world where every part of the body, every cell, every nerve has its own task, and all of this is reflected back to us as we look around our world. We are the universe and the universe is us. The external world is nothing but a reflection of what is happening inside us. The above is of the below, and the below is of the above.”
